Mick Berry, MFA

Cited by the San Francisco Chronicle as a “local phenom,” Mick Berry has been performing for over 40 years. He has worked as an actor and teacher with The San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, The California Shakespeare Festival, The San Francisco Mime Troupe, Marin Shakespeare Festival, George Coates Performance Works, and California Conservatory Theatre. He has performed stand-up comedy and three critically acclaimed one-man shows across the United States and Canada. With nearly four decades of drumming experience, he has accompanied musicians such as Paul Jackson, Henry Butler, Michael Wolff, and Eddie Henderson, and currently plays regularly in the SF Bay Area while maintaining a weekly teaching schedule of over 30 students. He is now working on a new one-man show on rock drumming legend Keith Moon. He is the co-author of two other books: The Drummer’s Bible (with Jason Gianni) and The Bassist’s Bible (with Tim Boomer). He holds a Master of Fine Arts in acting from the University of North Carolina.

Michael Edelstein, PhD

Dr. Edelstein has an in-person and telephone therapy practice in San Francisco. He is the author (with David Ramsay Steele) of Three Minute Therapy, a self-help book for overcoming common emotional and behavioral problems. The book was a Quality Paperback Book Club/Book-of-the-Month Club Selection, a Behavioral Sciences Book Service Book Club Selection, and an Albert Ellis Institute Selection.

Dr. Edelstein specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, relationship problems, and addictions. He is also the San Francisco SMART Recovery Professional Advisor.

Dr. Edelstein lectures nationally and internationally, appears on radio and television, and is published in psychological journals. He was a Training Supervisor and Fellow of the Albert Ellis Institute. He holds a diplomate in Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy from, and is on the Board of Advisors of, the National Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapists. He is Past President of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy. He is a Certified Sex Therapist and has served as a Consulting Psychologist for the National Save-A-Life League, Inc., the oldest suicide prevention center in the United States.
